Annual Prize Giving and Dinner Dance

SWLRC's annual Prize Giving and Dinner Dance for 2017, will be hosted at Lansdown Golf Club, Lansdown, Bath BA1 9BT, on Saturday 3rd February 2018, 7pm.

Three course meal, followed by annual prize giving for the driver championships. Also presented on this evening is the Melvin Rose Memorial Trophy, which will be voted on by the attendees to the meal, given to the person you feel has done the most for the club in this last year.

Cost - £22 per head, menu is downloadable at the bottom of the page. Please get your choices to Sara O'Brien by mid-January at the latest.

Table plans can be submitted, if desired. Tables can seat 10 people.

Starters

• Cream of tomato & red pepper soup

• Leek & potato soup

• Chicken liver pate & tangy tomato chutney

• Smoked salmon mousse with fresh bread

• Smoked mackerel salad with citrus & horseradish dressing

• Galia melon with berries & a fruit sorbet

Main Courses

• Roast beef & Yorkshire pudding, rich beef gravy & tangy horseradish sauce

• Pan-fried chicken breast with light wild mushroom & chive cream

• Chargrilled loin of pork with tomato/baby onion & tarragon sauce

• Braised lamb rump drizzled with red wine & redcurrant jus

• Fillet of salmon coated in grain mustard & fine herbs served with citrus cream

• Mediterranean vegetable & mozzarella Wellington (V)

• Fillet of beef wellington served with light Madeira jus & sautéed shallots (£3.00 supplement)

All mains served with seasonal vegetables & potatoes

Desserts

• Homemade chocolate brownie served with blackberries & vanilla cream

• White chocolate & strawberry cheesecake with a red berry coulis

• Classic summer pudding topped with Cornish clotted cream & red berry coulis

• Apple & cinnamon pie coated in warm vanilla custard sauce

• Baked vanilla cheesecake topped with butterscotch sauce & blueberries

• Citron tart served with fresh raspberries & clotted cream
